Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in the area is responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia, providing health teaching and counseling, and supporting patient recovery through therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being. The PACU Nurse may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required, Bachelor's degree preferred); BLS certification from the American Heart Association; experience as a Registered Nurse preferred Preferred Qualifications: Certification as appropriate for the unit or service; previous experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit setting Additional Information: Responsible for using resources effectively, documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines, and promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization. May be required to perform health teaching, health counseling, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
