Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department located in Edgewater, New Jersey. City/State: Bronx, New York Location: Edgewater, New Jersey Employment Type: Staff Work Shift: Night Work Days: Alternate Weekends Scheduled Hours: 7:15 PM–7:45 AM (11.5 hours per shift) Hourly Rate: $60.30 Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Job Summary The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent professional with expertise in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN engages in direct patient and family care activities, demonstrating the skills necessary to provide appropriate care across all age groups with a focus on quality and patient-centered outcomes. Essential Functions Apply the nursing process to deliver problem-solving care. Provide comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting. Contribute to a collaborative patient care environment through leadership. Promote professional growth and development in RN practice. Participate in unit and departmental quality improvement activities. Advocate for patients, upholding legal, ethical, and moral rights. Deliver age‑specific care for neonates, pediatrics, and adults/geriatric patients. Implement continuous quality improvement principles in daily practice. Respect human dignity, ethics, and basic human rights in all professional interactions. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BS in Nursing (preferred). Valid New York State RN license or permitting registration (required upon hire). Minimum one year of acute care RN experience; recent graduates may be considered. Preferred: 2 years of RN experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or ED settings. Proficiency in basic data entry and retrieval systems (medium). Effective written and oral English communication skills (medium). OHS fit test and annual assessment required. Certification in specialty preferred (upon hire). Basic Life Support (BLS) training required (upon hire). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training required (upon hire). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training required (upon hire). Infection Control & Barrier Precaution training required (upon hire).
