Building Maintenance Technician

Giant Eagle is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operations across our retail and fuel locations. In this role, you will perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspect and repair building systems, fixtures, and equipment, and respond to work orders to keep our stores clean, functional, and welcoming. You will troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues, coordinate with vendors, follow safety and compliance standards, and partner closely with store teams to minimize downtime and deliver strong customer experiences. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, fixtures, and equipment across retail and fuel locations Respond to maintenance work orders, diagnose issues, and complete repairs with minimal disruption to store operations Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and elevate complex problems to specialists or vendors Inspect facilities regularly for safety, cleanliness, and repair needs, documenting findings and follow-up actions Maintain and safely operate tools, equipment, and supplies, following all safety and OSHA guidelines Coordinate with external service providers and contractors as needed to complete specialized maintenance work Collaborate with store leaders and team members to prioritize tasks and support a safe, welcoming shopping environment Accurately record maintenance activities, parts used, and repair status in maintenance logs or systems Required Skills Building maintenance Preventive maintenance Basic electrical repair Basic plumbing repair HVAC support Equipment troubleshooting Work order management Safety and OSHA compliance Use of hand and power tools Vendor coordination #J-18808-Ljbffr Construction Job Board USA
