Overview The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance) is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust. The position drives sales and builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location, attracting and generating new customers and cross‑selling existing customers for product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club and Roadside Assistance. Responsibilities Drive new business sales and build rapport with walk‑in customers and through marketing calls and in‑person visits. Generate and retain a book of business within the market/retail location. Cross‑sell existing customers and assist customers in the office. Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence. Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base for product offerings. Monitor key competitors in the local market and provide suggestions to improve company position. Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement and manage marketing and sales processes. Deliver optimal results within metrics including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, and compliance with all rules and procedures. Stay current on company underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures. Receive customer payments, issue receipts and verify reports for cash drawers. Qualifications 0–2 years of experience. P&C licensure preferred; must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining. Preferred Skills and Competencies Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products. Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention of customers. Leverage community contacts to build multiple centers of influence (car dealerships, local events, community organizations). Execute outbound calling and maintain an active pipeline. Use marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals. Adhere to compliance and company policies.
