POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to join their long-term care pharmacy team. This role is responsible for accurate billing, insurance eligibility, collections, and resolving payer and client billing issues.
We're looking for someone who is organized, customer-focused, dependable, and willing to learn . Excellent communication and attention to detail are important in this role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Verify patient insurance eligibility.
• Enter charges accurately and efficiently.
• Initiate private-pay collections after insurance cancellations, denials, or other issues.
• Process and follow up on payer denials.
• Communicate with patients and/or families regarding billing when needed.
• Research and resolve client billing issues.
• Complete monthly closings and invoices.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• High school diploma/GED required ; college degree preferred.
• Previous medical billing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .
• Excellent customer service skills and professional phone manner.
• Intermediate data-entry skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Punctual and dependable.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• $17.50–$21.00/hour, based on experience.
• Full-time position.
• 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday.
• Rotating Saturdays and the 1st of each month.
