SummaryServes as a strategic legal business partner to Texas Health Resources ("THR") hospitals, Texas Health Physicians Group ("THPG"), and/or THR System Services departments, with primary responsibility for commercial transactions supporting procurement and supply chain initiatives (as assigned). Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a broad range of vendor/supplier and services agreements; provides practical, timely risk guidance to operational leaders; and identifies legal and regulatory risks and trends impacting contracting and supplier relationships. Works with minimal supervision and participates in committees and meetings supporting assigned client groups.Job DutiesProvide legal support to THR hospitals, THPG, and/or System Services departments for assigned mattersDraft, review, negotiate and advise on procurement/supply chain-related commercial agreements, including supplier/vendor agreements, master agreements, statements of work, amendments, and related documentationServe as primary point of contact for designated internal clients; provide clear, timely and actionable legal advice aligned with business objectives and risk toleranceContribute to the development and maintenance of standard templates and terms; support continuous improvement of contracting processes, tools, and playbooksProvide training and education for business stakeholders on legal/compliance topicsParticipate as a member and/or attend various committees and/or meetings.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree required AndJ.D. requiredExperience5 Years Legal or Compliance experience requiredand2 Years Healthcare Law requiredProcurement/supply chain contracting experience is preferred. Substantial drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements (law firm and/or in-house) experience Strongly Preferred Licenses and CertificationsJD - Juris Doctor by State Bar of Texas within 6 Months of hire RequiredWhy Texas Health?
