Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an IT/Privacy Attorney for their Legal Department. The right candidate will review and negotiate complex commercial transactions and agreements, including licensing and technology agreements. Provide legal guidance in connection with the company’s data, AI and privacy policies and procedures. Provide legal guidance and support concerning e-commerce, home sale transactions, marketing, financial services, information technology and other issues that arise. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice in connection with:technology agreements, including licenses and software as a service agreements, software implementation and development agreements, and non-disclosure agreementse-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM) and digital marketing practices and programs for privacy and other compliance issues; draft documentation as necessarytracking and analysis of existing and new federal and state artificial intelligence (AI) and privacy statutes and regulations to revise and implement the company’s privacy practices and procedures on an ongoing basisProvide legal advice in connection with the company’s technology, privacy, and AI practices and proceduresInteract daily with personnel across the company, including compliance, financial services, marketing, and information technology, regarding a broad array of compliance issues including those typically encountered in the home building industry and the mortgage and title businessesManage and prioritize multiple projects; analyze business and legal risks presented by these projects, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders; and bring these projects to a successful conclusion without significant supervisionConduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnightRegular and reliable attendanceMaintain continuing education and training requirementsAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and/or Experience Jurist Doctoral degree (J.D.) is required4 years or more of experience is requiredCurrent license to practice lawPossess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsProficient at working in a fast-paced, high activity environmentSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, capable of multi-tasking and completing multiple projects within stated timelinesAbility to work well within a teamAbility to communicate and build relationships via teams and other remote style communicationsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
