Job Description

On a flexible, as-needed basis, provides clinical services to all residents residing at Communities of Christian Living Communities (CLC). These services will include skilled nursing, assisted living, and/or rehabilitation services. Rehabilitation Flex Team Members are exempt from a multiple-shift requirement, and are encouraged to cover needs at multiple sites as they are able. Assists in providing rehabilitative services to residents with a range of mental, physical, emotional, and developmental needs, supporting their independence and quality of life. This role is as much about building trust and genuine connection with residents and colleagues as it is about clinical skill - we believe every person, team member and resident alike, brings unique strengths, perspectives, and life experience that make our community stronger.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
• Experience: 23 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license; CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal & written communication, active listening, and social/cultural perceptiveness
• Relationship building, compassionate instruction, and genuine appreciation for individuality and diverse life experiences
• Critical thinking, sound judgment, and decision-making
• Time management and service orientation
• Collaborative teamwork

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Physical stamina to lift, transfer and assist residents through physical activities.
• Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs. unassisted, including assisting residents when needed.
• Must be able to communicate clearly to residents in person and over the phone.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patient and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
