HR Generalist

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Partner for their client's fast-paced HR department in Saratoga, CA. This temporary, full-time onsite role offers a pay rate of $42-$48 per hour and involves partnering closely with HR leadership. The HR Partner will serve as a key resource across employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is highly self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. Key Responsibilities Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, orientation, and employee status changes. Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with California labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations. Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee files while ensuring regulatory compliance. Support recruitment activities, pre-employment processes, and new hire onboarding. Administer leave of absence programs, workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and benefits administration. Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. Support employee engagement initiatives, retention programs, and training activities. Assist with safety initiatives, OSHA reporting, and workplace compliance programs. Generate HR reports, maintain HR metrics, analyze trends, and support strategic HR initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to improve HR processes and employee experience. Qualifications 3-4+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience. Strong knowledge of California employment law and employee relations. Experience managing onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities. Experience with leave administration, benefits, workers' compensation, and HR compliance. Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Workday experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
