Position Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments on patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations through both standardized tests and personal observations.
• Create individualized treatment plans aimed at fulfilling both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice control, and swallowing skills.
• Engage in collaborative practices with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance therapeutic progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, guaranteeing consistent care throughout the patient's therapy journey.
• Record precise and timely documentation consistent with guidelines from state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in treatment approaches through continuous education and partnerships with colleagues.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensure from the state as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandated within 30 days of employment commencement.
