Job Description

A Medical Scribe supports healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient information and clinical interactions in real time. Working in-person alongside physicians, this role involves detailed record-keeping, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and the preparation of comprehensive clinical notes to facilitate efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

Document patient history and clinical encounters accurately and promptly
Assist physicians with real-time data entry during patient visits
Ensure data accuracy and completeness in medical records
Prepare clear and thorough clinical notes for physician review
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
Utilize medical terminology correctly within documentation
Collaborate daily with physicians in an in-person clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience in medical documentation
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency with medical terminology and clinical documentation practices
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Understanding of HIPAA compliance standards
Experience in medical transcription
