An authorized minister may confer with the Conference concerning a pastoral vacancy. Ministry Description Hope United Church of Christ is a resourceful, busy church of 92 members actively serving and caring for its congregation and the local community. Hope UCC has been an ONA church since approximately 2010. We sponsor an AA group seven times per week. We support actions for justice. We support two food banks and community missions. Our balanced budget is supported by our thrift shop. Although our Interim Pastor will only be employed for 20 hours per week, we look forward to our Interim Pastor being present and encouraging to our fellowship and their activities as often as possible. Tension management is a hope we have for our future. Hope UCC is in beautiful Rockledge, FL (Brevard County), near Kennedy Space Center. We are 10 miles west of the ocean, with plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, and other outdoor sports right at our doorstep. There are three other UCC churches in Brevard County. We would like our Pastor to help facilitate Hope UCC's involvement in activities and planning with those communities. We are hopeful that our Interim Pastor will continue to guide and support us as we work on creating new Governance, ByLaws, and a Restructuring plan.
