Staff Accountant

Wind River Hotel Casino Riverton, WY 82501, USA Description DUTIES Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations. Reviews and Updates Vault entries. Accounts payable. Accounts Receivables/Cash Receipting. Assists Finance Manager and/or CFO with bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records. Records Progressive Slots liability. Retrieves and processes documents requested by third parties including, but not limited to credit card disputes, chargebacks, and returned items. Prepares and enters data into the Sage 100 system. Maintains and organizes General Ledger files and supporting documents. Must always practice and maintain confidentiality. All other duties as assigned. SKILLS Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality. Familiarity and experience with general office equipment, including but not limited to 10-Key calculator by touch, computerized financial systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees. Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand in a positive manner. Ability to complete assessments accurately and timely. Ability to demonstrate understanding of audits performed. Superior attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the Finance Department in the absence of the Finance Manager. Access to Sensitive Areas and Information (ACC & SRC) As per the ACGC Access Matrix Keys None Signatory Ability In the absence of the Finance Manager EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Two to four years’ related experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must be 18 at time of hire. Must be able to lift 25lbs or more. Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process. Must be able to pass a background investigation. Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test. Must have Covid Vaccinations, including booster. Must have a valid Wyoming Driver’s License Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
