Research Associate II, Cell Therapy Platform
Tessera Therapeutics
Research Associate II supporting Tessera's cell therapy platform, executing and planning experiments with mammalian and primary immune cells to advance in vivo CAR-T development. The role combines hands-on laboratory work in cell culture and flow cytometry with data analysis, offering growth opportunities in experimental design under mentorship from experienced scientists.
Responsibilities
- Execute cell culture, flow cytometry, and functional assays testing CAR mRNA delivery to T cells
- Plan basic to moderately complex experiments in consultation with supervisor and document results in electronic lab notebook
- Analyze experimental data, assess quality, identify patterns or anomalies, and report unexpected findings
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot routine technical issues and suggest improvements
- Contribute data, analyses, and summaries to project team reports and meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, or related field plus 2+ years industry experience; or Master's degree with 0-2 years industry experience
- Hands-on experience with mammalian or primary cell culture and flow cytometry
- Working knowledge of immune-cell biology and laboratory protocols
- Strong data analysis skills, attention to detail, and organized record-keeping
- Clear communication, collaboration, and flexibility with changing priorities
- Exposure to data analysis tools like FlowJo and functional assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation, cytokine release) preferred
