Model Bartender

Position Summary Prepares and serves all alcoholic/non‑alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers in a high‑volume environment. Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests’ bar/dining experience expeditiously and professionally. Interacts with bar guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure an exemplary experience. Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned and when processing credit card payment transactions. Works efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and body language to deliver superior guest service at all times. Markets the venue and its events, as well as other company venues and events, as designated. Essential Functions Portray a positive and professional attitude. Anticipate and accommodate all guest needs. Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest during food service where applicable. Possess in‑depth knowledge of all food/beverage menus and general information about the venues. Possess in‑depth knowledge of all retail merchandise where applicable. Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all beverage and, where applicable, food and amenity items. Ensure proper service, delivery, and presentation of all food, beverage, and amenity items. Comply with Department of Health standards. Comply with all Tao Group Hospitality safety codes and standards. Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Comply with departmental appearance standards and uniform guidelines. Serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and responsible service/alcohol awareness training standards. Ensure the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the bars and surrounding areas. Ensure all liquor displays, coolers, and shelving are organized, and par levels are maintained. Learn and perform proper use of all beverage soda systems. Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment‑card procedures. Accurately complete all end‑of‑shift financial procedures. Report all breakage, and damage of equipment, the facility, or furniture immediately to management. Inform management of any irregularities, incidents, guest complaints, or other disputes. Properly set up bar and bar stations, performing side‑work and opening/closing procedures as directed by management: Ensure bar top is clean and free of debris. Set bar with proper settings/equipment. Stock bar stations with prescribed supplies. Perform opening side‑work as prescribed. Perform closing side‑work as prescribed. Attend and participate in daily pre‑service meetings. Participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings. Participate in marketing the company’s venues and events, including but not limited to social media posts and posing for venue and marketing photographers to appear in marketing, publicity, or media materials. Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example. Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments. Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members. Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned. Training Requirements Tao Group Hospitality in‑venue bartender training. Education / Working Knowledge Previous hospitality experience. Bartending experience in a high‑volume restaurant, nightclub, dayclub, or lounge. 21+ years of age (nightlife/daylife requirements). Skills / Physical Demands / Work Environment / Schedule Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate. Must have good positive energy throughout the day. Must be able to print legibly for team members, management, and guests to read. Must be able to bend, kneel, and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to move quickly. Must be able to push, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs. Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume. Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and or cold surfaces, steam and wet floors. Must be able to tow (push or pull) and carry as necessary. Must be able to twist, turn, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, bend and climb as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus in varied lighting degrees. May work in small areas and varying conditions of noise level, temperature, lighting and air quality. Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials. May work extended hours, irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required. Typical working environment: office, casino, nightclub, dayclub, bar, lounge, and/or restaurant. Maintain a professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance adhering to company standards. Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co‑workers in a professional, courteous manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
