Human Resources Generalist

Position Details Job Title: Human Resource Generalist Employment Type: Full Time Shift: Any Responsibilities Run daily functions of the Human Resources department including employee transactions, administrating pay, benefits and leave administration, and enforcing policies and practices. Manage onboarding process: deliver onboarding materials to candidates, coordinate background checks, I‑9 verification, company notifications, and notification of employment to the state. Administer HRIS system (Paycom and benefit provider sites), document and process employee title/pay/benefits additions and changes, and manage employees on leave. Remove terminated access to all systems, email, and notify benefit providers; obtain computer property, badges, and keys; complete GA DOL termination form; mail required communications and agreements/letters to terminated employee. Collaborate with Finance to administer Payroll, including timecard administration and follow‑up with managers regarding discrepancies; manage referral bonus program. Prepare monthly and quarterly hires/termination and headcount turnover reports by department; maintain at least bi‑weekly organization charts as needed; assist with annual workers compensation audits. Maintain organized files with required information. Develop and maintain documentation of HR processes, checklists, and calendars. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Handle employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Lead employee appreciation and wellness event planning. Answer employees’ questions regarding benefits and Vero ways of working; complete employment verifications and unemployment inquiries. Conduct annual benefits open enrollment sessions; research and ensure Equal Opportunity and Compliance (EOC) and workers compensation codes are appropriately reflected for each employee. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Other tasks as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds, including influencing management when appropriate. Understanding of the organization’s value proposition and articulation of fundamentals of business and how units tie together. Experience in HR concentration areas such as benefits, compensation, workforce planning and employment, employee relations, employee development, and training. Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Creative, flexible, and innovative team player. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. SHRM‑CP a plus. Paycom experience a plus.
