Sr. Surgical Technician/Surgical Tech - Irvine Operating Room - IP - FT Days

Position Summary The Sr. Surgical Tech utilizes advanced surgical techniques, working as part of the healthcare team to assist with direct patient care activities during medical procedures. The role ensures a safe environment, that equipment functions properly, and procedures are conducted in a way to maximize patient safety. The Sr. Surgical Tech prepares and stocks the operating room before and after surgery, gathers and organizes clean and sterile supplies, sets sterile instrument fields, maintains aseptic techniques, and assists with the orientation of new staff and departmental committees. Applicants with less than two years of experience may be considered as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01‑$39.78. Required Qualifications Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility. Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology. BLS Required. Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications Scrub Technician Certification.
