Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Role: Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting Location: New York City, NY Pay Rate: $80-$90/hour Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support financial reporting, month‑end close activities, and technical accounting initiatives. This individual will play a key role in preparing financial statements, performing financial analysis, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Key Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures. Support the month‑end close process and reporting timelines. Perform variance and fluctuation analyses for management reporting. Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos. Assist with external audits and coordinate auditor requests. Support accounting policy development and process improvements. Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather and analyze financial information. Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3‑5+ years of accounting experience. Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience and/or public company financial reporting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages. Experience with month‑end close and account analysis. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. CPA preferred but not required. NetSuite and/or FloQast experience is a plus, but not required.
