Senior Accountant - Reporting

Kforce's client, a leading global media giant, seeks a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for assisting in ensuring regulatory compliance with SEC reporting requirements. • Preparation of 10-Q, 10-K and other SEC filings including financial statements, footnote disclosures and MD&A to ensure timely and accurate filings and testing of internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Assist in the valuation and expense recognition of equity-based compensation, pension and other post-retirement benefits, preparation of goodwill and identifiable intangible annual impairment testing
• Assist with the assessment of new SEC/GAAP pronouncements
• Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of Big 4 and/or private industry experience
• SEC reporting experience preferred
• Experience preparing footnote disclosures and accounting memos
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• CPA preferred
