Key Job Responsibilities Safety & Quality Leadership: Champion high safety and quality standards for both products and personnel. Satellite Integration & Testing: Perform integration and testing of Leo satellites and complex subassemblies in cleanroom and ESD‑controlled environments. Hardware Handling: Conduct rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware with precision and care. Precision Tooling: Utilize calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers. Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Process Compliance: Execute work in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and work instructions. Non‑Conformance Documentation: Identify and document non‑conformities as required to ensure traceability and corrective action. Digital Systems Use: Operate computer software programs including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in SAP. Collaboration & Improvement: Partner with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to develop, refine, and document activities, driving continuous improvement opportunities. Operational Support: Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain an efficient, safe, and effective work environment. Flexibility: Work overtime when required and adapt to working independently or collaboratively within a team. Additional Requirements Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 2nd shift Wed–Sun 4/10s (5:00 pm–3:30 am). Shifts may vary, depending on program needs. Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations. Able to climb and descend ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position. Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted. Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines. Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. A Day in the Life The Integration Technician III is responsible for the assembly of Amazon Leo satellites. You will work closely with engineering, test, quality and operations teams to deliver Amazon Leo production hardware to final integration. Your day will involve hands‑on responsibilities such as mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, harnessing connections, fiber optic splicing and testing, requiring attention to detail, precision and adaptability. You’ll ensure that every satellite build meets the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and safety, while maintaining strict timelines to support launch schedules. Basic Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation. Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high‑reliability operating/manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a fast‑paced, team environment. Experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi‑meters, torque wrenches). Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements. Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment. A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high‑paced, challenging work environment. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $38.50/hour. Employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
