Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic and colorectal post-operative patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within scope to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Completed EKG course and/or Telemetry competency test
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in Critical Care in addition to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry settings
• Experience caring for post-operative orthopedic or colorectal surgical patients
• Willingness and ability to float to various units or campuses within a defined geographic area
