THIS IS A HYBRID JOB - CAN MOVE TO REMOTE ONCE WE KNOW YOU HAVE IT! We’re looking for someone with about 3+ years of solid accounting experience who knows their way around a general ledger. You’ll manage the accounting needs of a portfolio of small-business and individual clients, with responsibilities that may include:

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting responsibilities for multiple clients.
• Preparing financial statements and reviewing them for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Performing bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Preparing and adjusting journal entries.
• Reviewing client bookkeeping and cleaning up the occasional accounting mystery.
• Managing month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Preparing schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting matters as needed.
• Identifying bookkeeping errors, unusual transactions, and opportunities to improve client accounting processes.
• Communicating directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and resolve issues.
• Keeping client records organized and deadlines moving.
• Working alongside the rest of our team when someone needs an extra set of hands.

Because we’re a small firm, you won’t hear, “That’s not my job,” very often around here.

We’re a CPA firm, so yes—tax season eventually shows up.

Depending on your experience, you may assist with:

• Individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Partnership returns.
• S corporation and corporate tax returns.
• Tax workpapers and supporting schedules.
• Organizing client tax information.
• Communicating with clients about missing documents and questions.
• Assisting our CPAs with preparation and review.
