Accountant

Prepare and enter journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts Record foreign-currency transactions and calculate exchange gains/losses Perform advanced financial and variance analysis during month-end close Calculate and record accruals and prepayments Communicate with international branches and report on worldwide offices Create detailed spreadsheets, financial reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals Assist with month-end close tasks Maintain working knowledge of company policies, procedures, systems, and accounting processes Establish and maintain relationships with staff, vendors, and other business contacts Respond promptly to requests or issues and provide complete information or resolution Support the Account Manager with corporate financial activities and projects Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum two years’ general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience CPA license a plus PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint preferred Ability to type data and use a PC for long periods of time Ability to set and track goals Must be ethical Detailed and thorough work habits with multitasking ability Ability and desire to follow precise instructions Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and teaching skills Ability and/or experience to read, analyze, and interpret government rules and regulations, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability and/or experience to write reports, business correspondence, articles, and presentations Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication and telephone etiquette Able to communicate with people at all levels Available to work early, late, and weekends when needed All applicants must be at least 18 years of age Some positions may require U.S. person status under ITAR; this requirement is not stated as specific to this Accountant role Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in journal entry preparation, general ledger reconciliation, and advanced financial analysis.
