Cost estimators serve a pivotal role in planning, design, and pricing of bids for future work. As a Cost Estimator you will design execution plans and develop cost estimates for large-scale dredging projects, with the guidance and support of a team with decades of dredging experience. This position also provides a high-level of exposure to executive management with various growth opportunities. The position reports to the Vice President of Estimating. Responsibilities Produce accurate cost estimates for hard bid projects Review and summarize key elements of project plans and specifications Ability to produce clear, concise overview drawings for presentation and discussions Ability to present the project and estimate during bid review sessions with senior management Demonstrate strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability in the development of the estimate Work closely with various support departments in a team environment Capable of effective time management, able to prioritize various project tasks simultaneously Offer estimating support to on-site Project Managers during the execution of the project Update and monitor project costs, production, and budget throughout construction.
