Private practice without the overhead. United Couples Therapy is an online couples and relationship therapy service, contracting licensed clinicians in Texas. Compensation $70 an hour for live sessions, paid per session. Sessions are 40 minutes, so each session pays $46.67. No-shows paid in full: A client no-show, or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, pays the full 40-minute session fee, $46.67. Messaging between sessions: Paid per reply. The rate varies with the complexity of the reply and other factors. Paid per session, promptly after each session, as an independent contractor (1099). No invoicing. Published, not negotiated. Everyone is paid the same rate for the same work. Eight sessions a week is about $1,616 a month, before message replies. These are our current standard rates, as of September 24, 2026, and they may change. We will tell you in writing before a new rate applies, and a new rate never applies to work you have already done. Your independent contractor agreement sets the rates and payment terms that apply to you, and it governs if anything on this page differs. Nothing here is a contract or a promise of any number of clients, sessions or earnings. You are responsible for your own taxes, and you receive a 1099. What We Provide and Pay For In private practice, all of this comes out of your fees. Here, we pay for it. Clients: We run the advertising and pay for it. Intake and matching: A matching specialist reviews every new client and matches them to your availability and specialty. Scheduling and reminders: Clients book into the hours you set, and we send the reminders. Billing and collections: Clients pay us directly, and we answer their billing questions. No invoices, no insurance claims, no credentialing and no unpaid bills to chase. Payment fees: Card and payment processing fees are ours. Nothing is deducted from your rate. No-show protection: A no-show, or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, still pays you the full session fee. HIPAA-compliant video: Built into the portal. Nothing to buy or set up.
