Kelly has a direct hire Finance Manager position in Willowbrook, IL.  This position will ensure the availability of financial resources, developing effective financial and tax strategies, and satisfying accounting, reporting, and statutory obligations to support the business operations in the US & Canada. The role includes setting objectives and action plans to align with the results expected for the region. This is a direct hire opportunity with  fully paid medical benefits .
Salary: $120,000
Key Responsibilities
1. Treasury Management

• Oversee US & Canada’s financial resources; maintain robust cash flow controls in conjunction with the Regional Treasury.
• Lead efforts to minimize payment terms, overdue trade receivables, and bad debt by steering the credit and collection committee and managing collection agencies.
• Partner with the Credit Manager to assess clients’ financial stability and establish suitable credit limits.
• Oversee trade accounts payable and collaborate with the AME Treasury Manager to ensure optimal working capital performance, including DSO, DPO, and DIO metrics.

2. Controlling & Reporting

• Assist in building and managing budgets according to the strategic direction and input from the AME Business Controller, adhering to deadlines and standardized templates.
• Help identify and analyze variances between budgets and actual performance, introducing corrective or preventive measures to enhance the region’s financial outcomes (revenues, costs, opex, capex).
• Promote best practices by supporting key PLI AMERICAS financial processes and KPIs, optimizing resources, and mitigating operational risks.

3. Accounting & Taxes

• Direct and execute all accounting tasks in compliance with local and international standards, including IFRS.
• Guarantee that financial statements and notes are free from significant misstatements and support audit processes by providing necessary information and remediation measures for any discrepancies identified.
• Manage tax planning, calculations, payments, and recoveries according to applicable tax law, and act as the primary SAP user, supporting colleagues and process improvements.

4. Governance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, guidelines, procedures, and statutory requirements (e.g., LOA, FCF, BCP, PETRONAS policies), maintaining rigorous business operations in line with legal and accounting standards.
• Facilitate internal control reviews, identify process gaps, implement recommended actions, and produce regular status reports.
• Support financial risk management, ensuring effective and timely execution of mitigating actions.

General Accountabilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and key partners to stay updated with industry trends and identify business opportunities.
• Governance: Enforce PETRONAS procedures, policies, and compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding company interests and reputation.
• Ethics and Safety: Model and support PETRONAS’ Codes of Conduct, Business Ethics, and HSE policies, driving initiatives that ensure safety, operational integrity, and harmony.
• Leadership Development: Foster a high-performing team by driving development programs and instilling a culture of leadership, accountability, and performance.
• Culture and Mindset: Shape and embed a results-driven culture focused on integrity, ownership, and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, or Economics
• 8–10 years of finance experience
• Advanced proficiency in English, Microsoft Office, and Power BI
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and SAP FI-CO
