Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele travel experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Requirements

• .NET or 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Compact RN license must in hand at submission
• .NET Required certifications: BLS
• IV ther,y/Phlebomy experience
• .NET Central and peripheral line care and management skills required
• Blood product administration experience required
• .ContinuousLadder Irrigation (CBI) and renal failure management experience preferred
• Wound care/Wound Vac experience preferred
• Tracheostomy care and management experience preferred
• IV insulin protocol experience preferred
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and Rapid Response/Code team experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will be screened prior to consideration

Additional Information

• .NET Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform early mobilization and CHG bathing protocols
• Float between units and sister facilities based on skill set, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
• Additional incentive pay and mileage reimbursement offered for shifts floated to Seaside, with hotel accommodations provided for consecutive floating shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Scrubs may be any color
• No parking fees at this facility
• Vehicle required for this assignment
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Mustes located within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
