Director of Community Partnerships (Volunteer Leadership Role)

Location: Remote (DMV region preferred)

Commitment: 15-20 hours per month

Term: 1 year, renewable

Why We Are Seeking This Expertise

Community organizations are the foundation of the TechStep model.

We are seeking a Director of Community Partnerships to help build relationships with nonprofits, schools, workforce programs, and other community-serving organizations while expanding the pipeline of real-world projects that power our workforce-development model.

What This Role Brings

Build relationships with community organizations
Identify partnership and project opportunities
Expand awareness of TechStep's mission and services
Help grow the pipeline of real-world community projects

Ideal Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

Nonprofit leadership
Community engagement
Community development
Workforce development
Program management
Partnership development
Public service

Technology experience is helpful, but not required.

Leadership Expectations

Commitment of approximately 15-20 hours per month
Attend monthly leadership meetings
Support community partnership development
Make introductions within community networks
Serve as an ambassador for TechStep's mission
