Role Overview

Title: Network & Telecommunications Engineer

Type: Full‑Time / Permanent (FTE)

Location: Greenbrae, CA – 100% on‑site

This is a hands-on Level 2/3 role supporting a mission-critical healthcare environment. You’ll work across both enterprise networking and Cisco voice systems , directly supporting infrastructure used by physicians, nurses, and clinical staff every day.

This is not a ticket-only or architecture-only role—you’ll be actively installing hardware, configuring switches, troubleshooting voice systems, and resolving escalated issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support and troubleshoot Cisco voice platforms ( CUCM, Unity, UCCX, CER, paging, analog lines )
• Install/configure switches, phones, and network infrastructure
• Handle Tier 2/3 escalations across network and telecom
• Support a multi-site hospital network environment
• Assist with patching, cabling, and physical installs
• Partner with IT + clinical teams to optimize workflows
• Document processes and help mentor junior engineers
• Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on networking experience
• 5+ years supporting Cisco Unified Communications environments
• Strong experience with:
  • Cisco switching/routing (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR strongly preferred)
  • VLANs, TCP/IP, BGP
  • Physical infrastructure (installs, patching, cabling)

MUST HAVE: Strong hands-on experience with CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager / Cisco Voice Manager). This is a core requirement and non-negotiable for the role.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex voice + network issues independently
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams

Nice to Have

• Healthcare or regulated environment experience
• Cisco certifications (CCNA or higher)
• Experience with Arista, Cisco MDS, or SAN environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of GREENBRAE, CA.

The pay range for this position is $112000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
