Emergency Solutions Grant Coordinator

The Department of Administration's Office of Executive Policy & Programs is seeking an Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Coordinator to join the team. We are in growth mode, and it is an exciting time to be a part of South Carolina state government. In this role you will ensure subrecipients follow all ESG and State regulations. You will assist the ESG Program Manager with preparing and submitting grant proposals and applications, identifying funding opportunities, and monitoring changes to grant requirements. Collaborate with program directors to gather data, assess needs, and develop proposals. Monitor grant submissions, expenditures, and compliance with grant provisions, and process grant obligations, extensions, and related documentation. This position is onsite in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities of the Emergency Solutions Grant Coordinator:

• Monitor grant compliance with ESG subgrantee project applications and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the Continuums of Care (CoCs) and Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) personnel within each CoC area to include attending meetings and acting as the liaison to CoCs when necessary.
• Conduct field visits and prepare written reports related to the assigned subgrantee's operation and management program, level of service provided, accomplishment of work program objectives, and ensures that corrective actions are imposed and satisfied when necessary.
• Receive, review and respond to subgrantee request related to budgets, application, service plans, and reimbursement activities.
• Provide technical assistance and training to assigned subgrantees in the implementation and operation of program activities and serve as program liaison and resource person on ESG issues.
• Review and rank ESG applications as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree and business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
