Adidas Senior Finance Manager, NAM Distribution Centers

Purpose As a key member of the NAM Finance Team, this role acts as the financial consultant for the North America Supply Chain organization's Distribution Centers by providing recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making. Plays a leadership role in how the organization plans, forecasts, tracks, manages, and reports all aspects of NAM Distribution Center operations. Supports the consolidations portion of the SCM business planning process & takes a lead role in budget planning. Partners with multiple departments on cross functional and strategic projects to address business risks and opportunities and to drive creative outcomes. Key Accountabilities Provide financial guidance and influence to Senior Management to assist in making business decisions, achieving efficient growth, improving profitability, and meeting customer SLAs. Manage and maintain integrity of the monthly close and annual budget forecasting processes to include reporting and detailed analyses on all key drivers. Develop and implement creative process improvements and best-known practices while simplifying current financial management processes Support senior management and Global with detailed financial analysis and other ad hoc reporting and project needs Identify and analyze business risks and opportunities to determine impact on financial results, including post-mortems on outcomes Lead and participate in cross functional projects as required Provide leadership and consultation for analysts Manage talents within your four-person team, when applicable, to develop their competencies and managing skills to grow within the Finance department Key Interfaces (Relationships with other dept/groups): NAM CFO, SCM SLT, Local and Global finance counterparts, as well as the Distribution Center Leadership Team Knowledge, Skills and Abilties : Ability to influence strategic decisions through effective oral and written communication to senior management (CFO/SVP/SLT), managers, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, and peers Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data from multiple sources, identify alternatives and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment Excellent knowledge in Finance and/or Accounting and high-level understanding and experience with retail math and retail financial drivers Ability to make high quality decisions despite limited information or time for analysis Demonstrated analytical and financial modelling skills, comfort with Finance and Accounting principles and strong financial statement analysis ability Ability to navigate complex and/or politically charged environments to influence and enable key business partners Ability to be detail oriented while independently leading and/or executing multiple assignments simultaneously under tight timelines At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience): 8-10 years of progressive experience in a financial role with proven business acumen University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. CPA or MBA preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
