POSITION SUMMARY

Entrega is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function and ensure the accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and control of the company's financial records and accounting processes. The Controller is responsible for overseeing core accounting operations, including the monthly close, general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role ensures financial transactions are recorded accurately, accounting practices are consistently applied, and leadership has reliable financial information for managing the business. Working closely with Finance leadership, Project Finance, Business Operations, and other functions across the organization, the Controller will also strengthen the systems, processes, controls, and accounting discipline required to support Entrega's continued growth. In a professional services environment, this includes maintaining strong alignment between client contracts, project activity, billing, revenue recognition, costs, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on financial leadership role for an accounting professional who combines strong technical expertise with operational discipline, business judgment, process-improvement capabilities, and the ability to develop an accounting function that can scale with a growing professional services organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This description reflects the primary accountabilities of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Role scope may evolve in alignment with business needs. Lead the day-to-day accounting function and maintain the integrity and accuracy of Entrega's financial records. Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, standards, and controls that support reliable financial reporting. Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately, consistently, and within appropriate accounting periods. Maintain a strong accounting foundation that supports financial analysis, forecasting, business decision-making, and organizational growth. Identify accounting risks, control gaps, or financial-data issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Serve as a trusted accounting resource to Finance leadership and other business stakeholders. Monthly Close & Financial Reporting Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Establish and manage a disciplined close calendar with clear responsibilities, deadlines, reconciliations, and review requirements. Ensure general ledger accounts and supporting schedules are accurate, complete, and appropriately reconciled. Review journal entries, accruals, allocations, adjustments, and other accounting activity for accuracy and appropriate support. Prepare and review financial statements and related management reporting. Analyze material accounting variances and unusual activity and ensure issues are appropriately investigated and resolved. Continuously improve close speed, accuracy, documentation, and reporting quality. Revenue Recognition & Project Accounting Oversee accounting for professional services revenue and ensure revenue is recognized accurately and consistently based on applicable accounting requirements and contractual arrangements. Maintain alignment between client contracts, statements of work, project activity, billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Partner with Project Finance, Client Delivery, Client Services, Contract Administration, and other stakeholders to resolve financial or accounting issues affecting client engagements. Review project-related accruals, deferred or unbilled activity, adjustments, and other accounting items as applicable. Establish appropriate controls and documentation supporting project accounting and revenue recognition. Identify contract or delivery conditions that may require accounting review and ensure they are addressed proactively. Billing & Accounts Receivable Oversee client billing and accounts receivable processes to support accurate and timely invoicing and cash collection. Ensure billing reflects approved contractual terms, project activity, rates, and other required supporting information. Maintain visibility into accounts receivable aging, overdue balances, billing issues, and collection risks. Partner with appropriate client-facing and operational stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and collection challenges. Strengthen processes and controls that improve invoice accuracy, billing timeliness, and cash conversion. Provide leadership with visibility into material receivable risks and required actions. Accounts Payable & Expense Accounting Oversee accounts payable and expense accounting processes to ensure accurate, timely, and properly authorized payments. Maintain controls around invoice review, approvals, coding, payment processing, and supporting documentation. Ensure vendor and business expenses are recorded accurately and within the appropriate accounting periods. Partner with Procurement, Vendor Management, and other business functions to improve financial control and visibility across vendor spending. Monitor accounting processes for duplicate, unusual, unsupported, or improperly classified expenditures. Continuously improve efficiency and control across transaction-processing activities. Cash Management & Working Capital Maintain accurate visibility into company cash balances and near-term cash requirements. Support cash-flow planning through reliable information regarding receivables, payables, payroll requirements, and other financial obligations. Monitor working-capital performance and identify trends or risks requiring management attention. Maintain appropriate controls over bank accounts, cash transactions, payment activity, and banking access. Support Finance leadership with cash-management and working-capital analysis as required. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal accounting controls appropriate for a growing professional services organization. Establish clear segregation of duties, approval requirements, documentation standards, and financial review practices. Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed consistently across the organization. Identify control weaknesses or compliance risks and implement practical improvements. Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable requirements and company retention practices. Promote a culture of financial discipline, accuracy, accountability, and integrity. Coordinate financial statement audits, reviews, tax activities, and other external accounting requirements as applicable. Prepare financial schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and supporting information for external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other professional partners. Serve as a primary accounting contact for external financial reviews and ensure requested information is accurate and timely. Coordinate with external advisors to address accounting, tax, compliance, or reporting matters. Ensure identified audit or accounting recommendations are evaluated and appropriately implemented. Accounting Systems, Processes & Automation Evaluate accounting processes and systems for opportunities to increase accuracy, efficiency, scalability, visibility, and control. Standardize recurring accounting workflows, documentation, and financial procedures. Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations, transaction processing, reporting, and other accounting activities. Partner with Finance, Technology, and operational teams to improve integration between accounting and business systems. Ensure accounting-system configurations, access, and financial workflows support appropriate control and data integrity. Help build an accounting infrastructure capable of supporting increased scale and organizational complexity. Partner with Project Finance to ensure operational financial information and accounting results remain aligned and reliable. Work with Finance leadership to support financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and business analysis. Collaborate with Client Delivery, Client Services, Business Operations, Human Resources, and other functions on financial processes and accounting requirements. Help business leaders understand accounting requirements and the financial implications of transactions or operating decisions. Balance appropriate financial control with practical support for business execution. Provide clear financial guidance while maintaining appropriate accounting independence and judgment. Lead, develop, and provide direction to accounting team members and other assigned financial professionals. Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, priorities, and operating standards. Review team output for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards and company requirements. Develop team capabilities through coaching, feedback, documentation, and process discipline. Help determine future accounting-team structure and capabilities as the organization grows.
