Cost EstimatorPeopleTec is currently seeking a Cost Estimator to support our Fort Belvoir, VA location.We are seeking a highly innovative and motivated individual to join our dynamic team at Fort Belvoir, VA, supporting the Project Manager Formation Based Mission Autonomy project office. The Cost Estimator will ensure financial integration of programmatic requirements, both technical and sustainment requirements, and align materiel and capability development to enable effective system-of-systems development. This position requires a strategic critical thinker with exceptional organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:Develop and review cost analyses in Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT)Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselinesAnalyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost modelsProvide supporting documents to defend cost estimating methodologiesDevelop life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the programSupport contract cost estimating financial activities and processing reconciliationsRoutinely provide detailed financial reports and documentationProvide advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternativesDevelop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) to support program management needsEvaluate impacts on program based on direction and funding adjustments.Ability to support the POM planning cycle.Required Skills/Experience:5-10 years of relevant experience providing cost analysisProficient with ACEITFamiliarity with Army Acquisition ProcessKnowledge and skill in the application of policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of costingAbility to project future budgetary requirements based on historical informationMultitasking in a fast-paced environmentExperience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specificationsExperience preparing IGCEsRefine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, alternative design, engineering, and operational trade-off proposalsMust have a thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesTravel: 10%Must be a U.S. CitizenAn active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work.
