Scrub Technician - Full-Time | Days

The Staff Pad is partnering with Russellville Hospital, located in Russellville, AL to hire a passionate and detail-driven Surgical Scrub Technician to join their Surgical team.

As a Surgical Scrub Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing surgical equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, and supporting the needs of the surgical team.

What You’ll Do

As a Scrub Tech I, you’ll work side-by-side with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure every procedure runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing operating rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and sterile equipment
  
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping
  
• Maintaining aseptic and sterile technique throughout procedures
  
• Anticipating the needs of surgeons during surgery
  
• Managing accurate instruments, sponge, and needle counts
  
• Handling surgical specimens properly
  
• Ensuring surgical equipment is functioning and procedure-ready
  
• Supporting patient safety initiatives and error prevention strategies
  
• Maintaining professional, respectful communication with physicians, staff, and patients
  
• Ensuring HIPAA compliance and safeguard patient privacy
  
• Demonstrating dedication to teamwork, adaptability, and ongoing professional growth
  

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent prior training
  
• Current hospital-based CPR certification
  
• 1+ year of Operating Room experience preferred
  
• Knowledge of sterile processing, aseptic techniques and instrument care
  
• Ability to work in physically demanding and high-pressure situations

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced OR environment and perform required physical duties, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
