The role requires the nurse to work day shifts and includes weekend rotations. The candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience. Experience with the Epic charting system is essential. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of admission criteria, benefits eligibility, and appeals and denials processes. Knowledge of patient assessments, prior authorizations, and emergency department protocols is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent care coordination. This position involves working with diverse patient groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Applicants should be comfortable floating to meet department needs as necessary.
