Senior Operations, Dispatch Transportation This role coordinates shipments according to customer instructions (SOP's), and ensures compliance to DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines. Will also be responsible for providing solutions in resolving transportation issues and inquiries. Duties and responsibilities include executing ocean marine drayage services for FCL movements, ensuring delivery and pick up services are completed on time and in full, selecting and dispatching pick-up and delivery orders to truckers, managing chassis pool operations, reviewing and developing solutions for repetitive service failures, streamlining proactive container tracking communications, prioritizing time sensitive cargo, negotiating pricing to maximize profits, ensuring proper reporting and carrier invoicing, supporting the maintenance of the trucking carrier database, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines. Any other duties that may be assigned accordingly. Educational background/work experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in logistics and customer service environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel, good understanding of ocean export/import operations and transload operations, essential experience in trucking carrier deliveries/recovery process and terminal port/CY requirements, maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment, email and telephone etiquette. Skills & competencies: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, fluent in English (oral and written), computer literacy proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
