We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Corbin, Kentucky. In this key role, you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring that all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive safe and effective care during their surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing instruments and organizing supplies and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures, assisting the surgical team by passing instruments and materials
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after surgeries to ensure all instruments are accounted for
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
• Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
• Accurately document surgical counts and patient information in the medical records
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure the best possible patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
