Healthcare Customer Service Specialist
Healthcare Customer Service Specialist – Mission Valley, San Diego LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our client's team in Mission Valley, San Diego. This role is ideal for someone with strong phone experience who thrives in a high-volume call environment and is passionate about helping patients.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients with scheduling, inquiries, and general support
- Provide accurate information regarding services, appointments, insurance, and billing questions
- Maintain a professional, empathetic, and patient-focused approach on every call
- Coordinate with clinical staff and departments to ensure timely resolution of patient needs
- Assist with appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and reminders
- Resolve patient concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of healthcare customer service or call center experience is preferred
- Strong phone presence and ability to manage high call volumes efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Position Details:
- Onsite work schedule
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour
- Located in Mission Valley, San Diego
- Contract to hire role
- Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
