Speech Language Pathologist

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating client function and planning, directing, and administering speech therapy treatments as prescribed by a referring provider. The role aims to restore function following injury, disease, or physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities. The Speech Language Pathologist assists patients in achieving their maximum level of independence while functioning within their abilities and participates in all operational aspects of the department in alignment with organizational mission and vision. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate client speech and communication functions.
• Plan, direct, and administer speech therapy treatments as prescribed.
• Assist patients to reach maximum independence within their functional limits.
• Participate in all operational aspects of the speech therapy department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and referring providers.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.

• Relevant certification and licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Experience in evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Knowledge of current speech therapy techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration.

• Work environment may include patients with diverse and complex needs.
• Adherence to organizational mission and vision in patient care.

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
