Job Title: Outpatient & Emergency Department Registration Representative

Work Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Outpatient shifts are generally within a 7:00 AM–3:00 PM window, while Emergency Department shifts fall within a 6:00 AM–7:00 PM window with 8-hour shifts. Part-time schedule is approximately two 12-hour shifts per week.

Job Description: We are looking for a dependable Registration Representative to support both outpatient and Emergency Department operations. The ideal candidate is personable, adaptable, and able to stay organized and calm while assisting patients in a busy healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check patients in for outpatient appointments and Emergency Department visits.
• Confirm demographic information and insurance details during registration.
• Review coverage and eligibility information and update records as needed.
• Collect applicable copays, deductibles, and other required payments.
• Coordinate appointments and assist with scheduling needs.
• Obtain required signatures, consents, and documentation.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance throughout the registration process.
• Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Handle registration-related phone calls and appointment follow-up.
• Partner with clinical and billing staff to resolve registration or account concerns.
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and welcoming experience for patients.

Qualifications:

• Previous healthcare registration experience preferred; experience in any healthcare setting will be considered.
• Cerner experience is preferred but not required.
• Experian experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
• Ability to remain composed and productive when managing multiple priorities.
• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.
• No certifications required.
• Bilingual skills are not required.
