SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Job Title
The role involves planning work to be accomplished by subordinates to meet program goals, objectives, and broad command priorities. It includes setting and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work. The position also requires developing performance standards and evaluating the work performance of subordinates. Additionally, it involves administering long-term, complex contracts for facilities construction, design, and services affecting major agency programs. The duties further include preparing, reviewing, and approving delivery/task order and modification award documentation. Cost and price analysis and ensuring compliance with cost accounting standards are also part of the responsibilities. Periodic meetings with team members are necessary to set policies/procedures for consistent execution of contract actions and to solicit problems experienced by the team in the procurement processes. Pre-award functions for procurements involving complex contracts for facilities construction, design, and services of significant importance to the agency are required. Finally, the role includes serving as a Contracting Officer.
