We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Supply Chain Inbound Transportation Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our inbound transportation team. This role is responsible for overseeing freight planning, load creation, transportation documentation, and shipment tracking to ensure product is delivered accurately and on schedule to our distribution centers.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys solving problems, and has experience leading teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy, communication, and operational efficiency.

Salary: $70,304 annual

Due to the nature of this position, the selected candidate will be required to be flexible to work weekends.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and support the daily operations of the Inbound Transportation team.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the creation, auditing, and processing of freight bills and transportation documentation within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Ensure inbound loads are accurately built, scheduled, and tracked to support distribution center operations.
• Monitor daily transportation activity and quickly resolve load discrepancies, shipment issues, and scheduling conflicts.
• Review reports to ensure freight movements are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Coordinate with Distribution Centers, carriers, vendors, and internal Supply Chain teams to ensure timely inbound deliveries.
• Support Transportation Managers by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency.
• Maintain data integrity across transportation systems, EDI transactions, and reporting tools.
• Respond to escalated transportation issues and provide timely solutions.
• Prepare and analyze transportation metrics, KPIs, and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation procedures, and service expectations.
• Assist with training new team members and implementing departmental initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or distribution operations.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TruckMate or similar) preferred.
• Working knowledge of EDI processes is a plus.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily seated office work with extended computer use.
• Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
