PURCHASING MANAGER

The Supervisor I, Purchasing Manager, is responsible for the supervision and guidance of seven (7) buyers in the Purchasing Services Unit. Duties include planning, organizing and directing procurement activities to ensure compliance with all required statutes, regulations, and policies. Incumbent develops solutions to complex legal and policy issues involving purchasing activities. This role also provides departmental staff and management with advice and consultation on complex and sensitive matters related to procurement activities.

Working Conditions
Incumbent will work in a standard business office environment under the direction of the Supervisor II. Working hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, on-site.
