We are a well-established, highly respected downtown Jacksonville law firm with over 25 years of experience serving clients in criminal defense, immigration, and family law. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced attorney to join our team and play a meaningful role in guiding clients through complex immigration matters, with opportunities to also work in family law. Compensation:

$120,000 - $150,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
• Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
• Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
• Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
• Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)

• We need an attorney who has a minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience and is comfortable in a courtroom
• Licensed Florida attorney in good standing
• Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations
• Spanish speaking a plus
