Radiologic Technologist - $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants in the examination and treatment of patients at Memorial Hermann‑GoHealth Urgent Care centers, applying ionizing radiation to assist in diagnosis or treatment across all age groups. The RT performs and analyzes patient x‑rays, reports results, and provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation. Job Responsibilities Perform x‑ray services under provider direction, applying x‑ray energy and positioning patients safely. Prepare patients for examination; verify patient information, conduct interviews, record medical history, and gather vital signs. Execute point‑of‑care testing as required and provide results to providers. Maintain and document daily controls, calibration, and quality assurance logs for equipment; perform preventive maintenance and submit repair tickets. Collaborate with ordering providers to determine optimal imaging views and support clinic operations. Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and answer questions. Position patients and equipment accurately to achieve optimal imaging quality. Adjust radiographic controls to obtain clear, high‑quality diagnostic images. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of x‑ray equipment and manage supplies. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and implement ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Maintain accurate patient records and log completed procedures in electronic systems. Verify image quality and assure images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Key Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of x‑ray procedures, protocols, anatomy, physiology, and equipment safety hazards. Proficiency in patient positioning, equipment troubleshooting, infection control compliance, and use of imaging technology. Job Requirements Education: High School Diploma required; Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required. Experience: Experience in a clinical setting preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire (ARC or AHA); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at hire; State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required if applicable by state law.
