General Liability Senior Technical Specialist - Las Vegas, NV

Job Description We're searching for a Senior Claim Adjuster specializing in bodily injury litigation and general liability claims in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eligibility Preferred for Veterans, transitioning military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and Caregivers. Compensation Annual base salary: $75,000 - $100,000. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000. Hybrid schedule: up to 2 days per week remote. Responsibilities Investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned general liability bodily injury and property damage claims. Maintain full compliance with quality standards and state regulations. Consult with managers and field staff on coverage and strategy. Conduct investigative analysis via contact with policyholders, claimants, law enforcement, witnesses, agents, medical providers, and experts. Engage internal and external resources (subrogation, risk control, experts) to assess liability, damages, and contribution potential. Verify injury or property damage with supporting records. Maintain claim files and document claim activities per established procedures. Use evaluation documentation tools and claim file analysis (CFA) for trend analysis. Manage diaries to ensure timely claim handling. Establish indemnity and expense reserves. Recommend cases for roundtable discussion. Attend and present at roundtables to improve payouts. Apply claim quality protocols and best practices; document deviation rationale. Develop and employ creative resolution and negotiation strategies. Promote efficient claim disposition within delegated authority. Negotiate settlements with insured and claimants. Implement alternative resolution methods when applicable. Handle litigated claims: develop litigation plans, select counsel, manage expenses, attend legal proceedings. Update stakeholders on new facts and impacts. Escalate complex cases to appropriate level based on protocols. Handle confidential information securely. Provide service commitments per special account instructions. Represent the company in technical capacity at legal proceedings. Mentor and coach junior claim professionals. Collaborate with business partners to achieve quality goals. Lead recovery efforts and direct relevant resources. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 3–4 years of bodily injury litigation claim handling experience. Advanced knowledge of coverage, liability, damages analysis, and litigation process. Strong analytical, judgment, and decision‑making skills. Proficient in claim and legal documentation, legal research, and communication. Ability to work independently without supervisory involvement. Strong customer service, coaching, and persuasion capabilities. Intermediate proficiency in written and verbal communication, technology use, and attention to detail. Advanced negotiation skills.
