Long Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts will consist of either variable 4x12-hour or 3x12-hour schedules, with options for day or night shifts based on facility needs.

The Long Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting, ensuring high-quality treatment and support for residents. This position requires prior travel experience, with a focus on LTC environments. Registered nurses will work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to care for adults and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient health, executing necessary interventions.
• Provide support to patients with cognitive impairments and assist with daily living activities.
• Document patient care and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care experience required.
• Current Alaska RN license in hand.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one-time $10 fee).
• Travel experience is a necessity.
