Machinist

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong mechanical understanding, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist I & Machinist II

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $20-$26, DOE

Shift: Weekend Shift, Friday-Sunday, 5:30AM-6PM

• Must be able to train on Dayshift initially for 4-6 weeks training
• Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours, once you are on Weekend Shift

What's the Job?

• Safely operate CNC and manual machines to fabricate tubes, rods, and components used in hydraulic cylinders
• Interpret mechanical drawings and perform necessary calculations for fabrication
• Use quality control equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure precision
• Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain equipment daily
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of machining experience or equivalent education and experience
• Experience in a production environment preferred
• Programming experience is a plus for Machinist I, Required for Machinist II
• Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Proficiency with basic mathematical principles and manual quality control tools
