Litigation Legal AssistantA respected law firm in the Waukesha area is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.Location: Waukesha, WI Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week Work Arrangement: Onsite (potential hybrid flexibility based on business needs and supervisor approval)Key ResponsibilitiesSupport attorneys in all phases of civil litigation mattersPrepare, proofread, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documentsElectronically file court documents and ensure proper service on all partiesCoordinate subpoena requests and work with process serversPrepare and finalize discovery responses and litigation filingsManage attorney calendars, court dates, deadlines, and related litigation tasksMonitor active case files and proactively identify upcoming attorney needsCommunicate professionally with clients, attorneys, judicial assistants, court personnel, and staffMaintain accurate case records and document management systemsQualifications3+ years of legal assistant experience, with a strong focus on litigationCivil litigation experience strongly preferredKnowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirementsExperience with state and county court systemsStrong understanding of e-filing processes and document formatting requirementsExceptional proofreading, grammar, spelling, and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines and competing prioritiesStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelExperience with document management and docketing systems is a plusCompensationCompetitive compensation based on experience and legal backgroundBenefitsAnnual retirement contribution of approximately 10% after one year of employmentComprehensive health insurancePTO and sick daysHSA contribution of $1,000 (single coverage) or $2,000 (dependent coverage)Employer-paid parkingCollegial, team-oriented work environmentOpportunity for long-term growth and professional development
