Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas. Work within a collaborative educational setting, providing direct services and contributing to student growth throughout the academic year, from August 2026 through June 2027. As a vital member of the educational team, you’ll deliver specialized assistance, helping students achieve their communication goals while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic school environment.

Skills, Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech or Communication Disorders is required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal abilities and comfort working with diverse student populations
• Excellent communication, organization, and observation skills
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and work effectively as part of a support team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students under supervision according to documented IEP goals
• Assist speech-language pathologists with implementing therapy programs and tracking student progress
• Prepare materials and maintain documentation in accordance with school and district requirements
• Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to encourage positive outcomes
• Maintain confidentiality while supporting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
